Biotronics3D's Protocol-driven 3D Visualization Software Suite Launched TO US AT RSNA

Biotronics3D announced the successful release of 3Dnet Suite - its flagship 3D medical visualisation product line – to the United States' market at the Radiological Society of North America's annual meeting held last month in Chicago. 3Dnet Suite has been available outside the US market since early 2006 AND IS currently installed IN various locations throughout Europe, Asia, Africa AND South America. The product suite, a protocol-driven SET OF tools that enable healthcare professionals TO intuitively visualize patient CT, MRI AND PET studies IN 3D ON a standard Windows-based PC, received FDA 510(k) clearance IN October. It can be integrated WITH a hospital OR practice PACS/RIS TO provide a seamless experience TO the physician OR clinician. AS 3Dnet Suite does NOT require ANY proprietary OR specialized hardware TO operate, it may be deployed throughout the entire healthcare enterprise FOR a RELATIVE low cost-OF-ownership. "Healthcare is one segment of our society which has not yet fully benefited from the digital revolution, and the power that it can unleash to enhance patients' lives" stated Haralambos Hatzakis, CEO OF Biotronics3D. "But our software can help to change that by bringing 3D visualisation to the healthcare provider on a standard PC Workstation at a very affordable price."

Why Protocol-Driven IS Better
Biotronics3D staff worked IN conjunction WITH a panel OF radiologists AND specialist doctors TO determine the workflow patterns employed TO perform specific 3D visualisations. "With many types of exams, the steps doctors must perform to set-up the data for optimal viewing are consistent. 3Dnet Suite takes this into account to provide a more efficient workflow for each protocol," said Dr. Hatzakis. "Doctors now only have to make a couple of clicks to perform tasks that, manually, are labor-intensive." Biotronics3D presently offers protocols FOR a virtual colonoscopy, aortic analysis AND a general, non-specialized protocol FOR ALL other datasets, WITH additional protocols becoming available throughout 2007.
