2009-11-17 - Biotronics3D Measures Customer Value and Goes Live at York Hospital, UK17 Nov. 2009 Biotronics3D, in a recent survey of existing 3DNet users (the Biotronics3D advanced visualization platform), reported a productivity increase by 17.1% and a throughput increase by 12.3%. The main drivers behind this increase are workflow improvements by enabling the enterprise to use 3D tools integrated with their PACS everywhere. Even a new installation, like the York Hospital, is already seeing a transformation in the reading of CT and MRI studies after using 3DNet throughout its radiology department for the last 2 months The selection of Biotronics3D software was driven by the innovative workflow and ease of integration into the PACS, which after only one month of going live on 25 PACS workstations, started to deliver significant improvements to how advanced visualization is used in the department. “We needed a solution which combined the highest quality clinical reading capabilities with access anywhere in the department” explained York radiologist, Dr Dan Petty. “We find the Biotronics3D software powerful, the ability to integrate advanced applications directly onto our existing PACS will generate significant flexibility in our reporting patterns compared with traditional workstation based solutions, hopefully leading to improved productivity”. Harry Hatzakis, CEO of Biotronics3D, said “York Hospital has demonstrated how the 3Dnet can quickly deliver customer value to a large radiology department with minimal disruption. We are looking forward to provide the best, most innovative solutions to radiology departments with further expansion and further large scale installations in the near future”.
